| 2009-02-17 | Weapon handling - Second part |
In this news I will explain how works the precision system of the weapons in Daídalos.
Shooting precision:
In the game, firing is influenced by a malus that reduce the precision.
In order to limit this malus, there is two ways:
- The player movements
- The weapon equiped
Concerning the player movements, they can be organized in for groups (from the more precise to the less precise):
- Immobile and crouching
- Immobile and standing
- In movement and crouching
- In movement and standing
The precision is easily visible ingame with the cursor that changes size depending of the precision:
It's more efficient to shoot when the player is crouching and the less efficient is when the player is standing and in movement.
As you could see in the previous new concerning the weapons, each weapon has a "precision" caracteristic. This caracteristic affects in fact the malus of your shooting.
Here's now the caracteristics of the second weapon: the shotgun.

And finally, here's some screenshots of the weapon:
As you can see with this new, the second weapon is now finished. The next version of Daídalos will be release soon.
