I decided to do some performance tests on small configurations in order to have statistics on the performance gains that will provide the new version of Daídalos. The tests that will
follow have been realized with to following configuration:
Resolution: 1024*768
Fullscreen: Enabled
Texture quality: High
View: Medium
Anisotropic filter: Disabled
Antialiasing: Disabled
Only the light quality will be changed on the following tests because that is the only option that will have an influence on the optimizations.
The computers used during the tests are as follow:

Here's now the results. They correspond to the average fps on the alpha test map.

What we can conclude about these results, is that the performance gain is in fact superior than 50% (as contrary as I said before).
We can also see that the more the quality of light is set, the lesser is the lost beteween two successive qualty. The optimizations are pretty helpfull for small
configurations, even if the fps are not quite enough for those type of configuration.
There is probably still some work that can be done to upgrade these optimizations, so I hope being able to make Daídalos more playable for the less powerfull
computers.
Now about the release date of this version, it should be close even if everything is not done yet. I'm close to the end of this version, so stay tuned.
