Daídalos (previously named Project D) is a FPS videogame developped in C++ and DirectX of whom the development started on July 2008 (initially in OpenGL). The project is developped during my free time and is at first a way for me to learn 3D development.
|
The game draws its inspiration in titles like Doom or Wolfenstein 3D, and proposes an old style gameplay. The project in not intended to revolutionate the genre, but to rely on well known mecanisms in order to represent a viable FPS while providing the better work as possible considering my modest knowledges in 3D development. |
The game principle is relatively simple: confined in labyrinthic levels, you must make your way among creatures and traps that haunt the places in order to stay alive. To do so, you will find in your way different objects that will help you taking down those ennemis, or to help you stay hidden in order to avoid conflict.
Daídalos is not at the moment available in its final version and is still in development. However you can find here pre-versions and a lot of information about the project.
